Indianapolis 500: Evolution coming to Xbox 360

Publisher Destineer announced today that their Formula One racer, Indianapolis 500: Evolution, will be coming to Xbox 360 on October 1st. The game takes place in 1961-1971, and offers a deep simulation experience. You’ll be able to fine tune your car and participate in 75 different races.

Races involve up to 33 cars at one time, and you can race with up to 8 players on Xbox Live, with AI drivers rounding out the 33 car field. The tracks themselves are eight in total, and how you drive and how much success you have will affect how other drives treat you when you’re on the road together. The game will retail for $29.99.

Mike: For a racing fan, even though it’s a different brand of racing most are used to, it might fit nicely between now and when Forza 3 releases. At $29.99 it’s probably worth a look
