Microsoft Announces Final Fantasy XIII Console Bundle

For RPG fans debating on taking the plunge and purchasing an Xbox 360, Microsoft has given you a bit of an incentive to do so.  They recently announced that there will be a Final Fantasy XIII special edition console shipping the same day of the game’s release, March 9th.  The console itself will be the 250GB version and will also come with the the game and two Xbox 360 controllers at a price of $399.  There is also a coupon redeemable for certain avatar awards, although there are no details as to what they are specifically.

At least from an Xbox perspective, this looks to be a fair deal.  The current Elite model which is now the standard has a 120GB hard drive and comes with one controller for $299.  Not counting the extra hard drive space you’re only saving about $10 but at least you know you’ll never have memory problems.  Also, most people at least prefer to have an extra controller laying around even if playing with friends in person is infrequent.  All in all I would say it’s worth it to spring for if the situation’s right.
